No excuses for not writing....just other things get in the way. No promises but I will try to do better.
We are back from vacation and what a fun time we had...perfect weather - beautiful family to share it with.
Now it is time to get back to work - and I suppose fall and Halloween are on the agenda. Yesterday I received wonderful new fall pillows (white pumpkins, crow and bittersweet all hand appliqued on wool and cotton fabric) from June Walker - one of our handmade crafters. June is 83 years young and an excellent quilter. Every once in awhile she leaves her craft to make us the Toothbrush Mats you see in the store (well they go very quickly so maybe you haven't seen them)! Yesterday she brought me the pillows and hand appliqued pincushions, also with pumpkins on them (and some Toothbrush Mats)!! I didn't want to put them away so I filled the shopping cart basket with them....thus starting the "fall season" at The Cinnamon Stick.....and so it begins!!
Next week Raelyn has her first "extension" surgery - on Tuesday, Aug. 5th. I will take my days closed and stay with the kids so not a lot of decorating will get done. I think this year fall decorating will go little by little the whole month of August. As orders arrive I will make displays and most likely change them 10 times before it all comes together.
There will not be a fall open house again this year, however, I am planning something very special for September....and our fall/Halloween workshops will be announced soon. Bear with me "Country Friends" !!
Will keep you up to date with Raelyn and all the happenings at The Cinnamon Stick. For daily updates check out our Facebook page by clicking on the icon on side bar. When new arrivals come in I usually post a picture there.
Have a great weekend....Fondly, Judy
